For Keeps: A Journal Making Workshop

⟡ 12 September, Saturday • 2:00-4:00 PM
Studio One Toi Tu

About the event

Spend a slow afternoon learning the process of crafting your own leather journal by hand.

In this two-hour workshop, you’ll be guided through each step of assembling a trifold leather journal—from shaping the corners and punching the holes to burnishing and finishing. Along the way, you’ll gain an appreciation for the thoughtful details that transform a simple piece of leather into an object designed to be used, carried, and kept for years to come.

Each guest will create a leather journal to take home. No prior experience is needed—everything will be prepared for you, and you’ll be guided through the process from beginning to end.

During the workshop, you'll be able to fully customize your journal and choose your cord colour. A small collection of charms will be available to purchase on the day, though you’re equally welcome to bring charms of your own.

Workshop Inclusions

  • Full-grain trifold leather journal in our signature colour Espresso, with two notebook refills
  • Access to all materials and tools needed
  • A photostrip print to tuck into your first pages
  • A matcha drink to enjoy during the session
